My love for Dimsum started from the famous Dimsum restaurant in Cebu called Harbour City.  Which they also did a fastfood version of their restaurant named Dimsum Break. As much as I love their food, they are getting pricier and pricier. So I made my own

INGREDIENTS:
3 cups of shredded green papaya

½ cup shredded carrots

2 string beans

2 small tomatoes (cut into bite sizes)

1 clove of garlic

1 chili (optional)

2 tablespoon fish sauce

½ tablespoon white sugar

2 kalamansi (squeezed)

Chopped roasted cashew nuts or peanuts

 

SPECIAL EQUIPTMENT:

Mortar and pestle but if you don’t have a set, improvise with a thick ceramic bowl and drinking glass.

 

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Add the chili, garlic, fish sauce and white sugar in your mortar and pestle/bowl. Grind the ingredients until thoroughly mixed.
  2. Add the green papaya, carrots, string beans and tomatoes by section. Then continuously pound the ingredients until everything is thoroughly mixed. Use a spoon to scoopthe ingredients from time to time.
  3. Once done, topped with the chopped cashew nuts/peanuts.
  4. Serve and enjoy!
